What does a background check include?

Each search covers a national criminal records database spanning all 50 states, Social Security Number validation, and address history for the person you search.

How much does it cost?

Each background check is a single in-app purchase. There is no subscription and no recurring charge — you pay only for the individual checks you run.

When am I charged?

You are charged only after a report has been successfully generated. If the search cannot be completed, you are not charged.

My search returned no records. Was it still charged?

Yes. A completed search that finds no criminal records is a valid, successful result — confirming that nothing was found is part of what the search provides.

Why is a Social Security Number required?

The SSN is used to accurately match the correct individual and to validate identity. Without it, results are substantially less reliable. Social Security Numbers are encrypted and are never displayed in full within a report.

How do I request a refund?

Purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests are handled through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. If you believe a search failed or returned incorrect results, contact us and we will assist.
